Taking Pictures and Shooting Video on Hot, Humid Days…

Taking Pictures and Shooting Video on Hot, Humid Days…the Dog Days of Summer are upon us. And now we need lots of pictures and video on these gorgeous sunny days. But…you take out your camera and *WHAM* everything fogs over. Your lens is dripping, the ipad for your drone is a hazy mess, and your drone camera lens is completely opaque. What do you do? You have to allow time for your equipment to acclimatize to the air that you are shooting in; meaning your equipment must reach the same temperature as the air you are shooting in. That can take a minute or two, or as much as ten minutes. It also helps to keep your vehicle air conditioning on a warmer setting if you are driving to the location. Don’t forget to then clean off your lens before shooting. If you don’t, your images will have halos and fog. Happy Shooting!
